At Morton Clarke, we manage individual investment portfolios for a fee. Our role is to create and preserve wealth for our clients. The essence of our process is to:
  • identify the client's unique concerns, goals and needs.
  • determine income requirements, review tax considerations and assess risk tolerance.
  • seek coordination with the client’s tax consultant, estate attorney and other pertinent advisors.
  • develop, in conjunction with the client, an investment policy statement, which addresses the client’s financial goals, risk profile and tax/estate planning issues.
  • structure a custom designed portfolio to optimally address the above.
  • monitor and manage the portfolio, in order to maintain a close fit between its dynamic characteristics and the updated needs and goals of the client.
  • encourage and maintain two-way communication with the client, particularly regarding changes in financial status, needs and goals.
  • provide a quarterly portfolio summary and performance report.
  • meet with our clients at least annually and to be available at the client’s request.

While we seek to exploit the power of compounded returns, we realize that long-term capital growth can only be achieved with a healthy respect for business risk, as well as market risk. Our background in the credit markets provides the primary framework for our security analysis. While equities and bonds are fundamentally different security types, a basic understanding of an entity’s financial structure and health is essential in both arenas.
